About the job

Brookings is an established business celebrating its 15 years in business this year.

We are now looking to expand our team and recruit a dedicated Sales Estate Agent.
Until now, our focus has been growing our lettings portfolio.

We are a unique business in that our strong ties to a mortgage brokerage business (in the same building) enables us to provide a full suite service to both homeowners, landlords and developers as well as a stream of clients to nurture for sales opportunities.

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of five years’ experience in estate agency along with a track record of listing properties.
You will be required to be a self-motivated agent with the ability to list properties and sell independently and the desire to want to grow your department and increase your knowledge in the process.
Full support to help you achieve your goals will be provided by the Director and the rest of the Brookings tight knit team.

Competitive salary depending on experience.

 

Roles & Responsibilities: Sales Manager

Main Purpose of role: Prospect, source and list new properties to the market for sale. Negotiate sales of residential property in Romford and the surrounding areas.

Meet agreed performance targets, whilst advancing the service standards of the Company and abiding by company policy and statutory legislation.

Reporting to: Managing Director

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit properties and provide market appraisals
  • Prospect existing database for market appraisals
  • Build the database of potential vendors
  • List properties to the market
  • Negotiate on residential sales
  • Initially register, book and carry out viewings
  • Provide vendor marketing updates
  • Negotiate offers
  • Sales progression; keeping all parties well informed
  • Touting and canvassing
  • Dealing with customer enquiries
  • Keeping records of all activity (Reapit)

Requirements and Skills

  • Five years’ experience in Estate Agency
  • Customer service orientated
  • Results/goals orientated
  • Financially driven, motivated to earn
  • Full driving licence
  • Smart and well presented
  • Good communication skills
  • Natural sales ability
  • Hard working
  • Self motivated and organised
  • Focused and competitive
  • Good work ethic – punctual and reliable
  • Passion to deliver results
